NS Model 2.0

NS Model 2.0

Overview
NS Model 2.0 is a session-based breakout tool. It marks a fixed time window (the “box”) and then looks for a 3-candle breakout sequence after the box closes. It was built around the New York session, using Bangladesh time (BDT) by default, but the timezone and session times can be changed to suit any market.

How it works

Box: The high and low of the box window (default 18:00–19:30 BDT) are drawn as a blue box. An orange extension box continues through the full session (default 18:00–03:00 BDT).
Candle 1: After the box window ends, the first candle to break the box high (buy side) or box low (sell side). You can choose whether a wick break or a candle close counts.
Candle 2: A later candle that closes beyond Candle 1’s extreme in the same direction.
Candle 3: A later candle that closes beyond Candle 2’s extreme (or Candle 2’s close, depending on your setting). This confirms the setup and plots the BUY or SELL label.
Safeguards:
A setup is cancelled if it takes more than X bars (default 60).
You can require the three candles to be consecutive with no gaps.
After a cancelled setup, price must return inside the box before a new attempt on that side can start.
You can limit the number of signals per session (default 1).
If an opposite-side break happens while one is building, the older attempt is dropped and the new one takes over. The stats table counts these as “after opposite fakeout”.

Trade logic (for the statistics)

Entry: the close of Candle 3.
Take profit: a fixed percentage (default 2.5%) or a risk-reward multiple.
Stop loss (optional): placed either beyond the extreme since the break or at the opposite box edge, plus an ATR buffer. It is off by default.
Win/loss rule: a trade counts as a win if TP is touched before the trade lifetime ends. Otherwise it is a loss. The lifetime can be until the next session, 24 hours from entry, or until target or stop. If SL is enabled and TP and SL are both reached on the same bar, the trade is counted as a loss.

On-chart tables

Top right (stats): sessions found, Candle 1 / 2 counts, expired setups, signals, wins, losses, win rate and break-even win rate.
Bottom right (day-by-day): TP hits, not-hit/SL counts and win % for each day from Saturday to Friday, plus totals. Each trade is counted on the day its session started, in your selected timezone.

Settings

Session: timezone, box window, full session window, max signals per session.
Signal: wick or close break, Candle 3 level, consecutive-candle option, expiry bars, label visibility.
Trade: SL mode and buffer, TP mode (percent or RR), TP percent / RR, trade lifetime.
Day Stats: show or hide the day-by-day table.

Alerts
Buy and sell alert conditions are included. For the most reliable behavior, set alerts to trigger once per bar close, since the conditions use candle closes.

Notes and limitations

Statistics are calculated only on the history loaded on your chart, so they change with the symbol, timeframe and amount of data loaded.
With the stop loss turned off, the win rate does not account for drawdown. A high win rate does not mean the setup is profitable, so always compare it with the break-even figure and your own risk management.
This is an indicator, not a strategy. It does not include commissions, slippage or position sizing.
It works on intraday charts. Check that your session times match your chart’s timezone and exchange.
