I would rate the current version around 7/10 as a reaction-zone/confluence indicator, but I would not call it a true institutional order-flow indicator yet. Its strongest feature is that it combines several independent pieces of market information instead of relying on one signal. The reaction score combines abnormal volume, wick-based absorption, consolidation, displacement, VWAP location, market-profile levels and FVG formation. This is useful because a high-volume candle by itself does not necessarily mean absorption.
The consolidation logic is particularly useful for the setup you described: when price compresses into a relatively narrow range and opposite-direction volume begins increasing, the script can flag a potential absorption/reaction area. VWAP and POC/VAH/VAL then provide additional location context.
However, there is an important limitation: the script does not have true bid/ask delta, footprint, or order-book information. Therefore, "institutional" means institutional-style price/volume inference, not proof that institutions are trading there. The current profile is also a rolling volume-at-price approximation.
For trading decisions, I would use the yellow diamonds and reaction boxes as areas requiring confirmation, rather than automatic buy/sell signals.
