# Use Lipi with AI

> The ways to work on Lipi scripts with an AI assistant: GoCharting's own agent skill, these docs as Markdown, the docs search server and the docs assistant.

You can use an AI assistant to write, convert and fix Lipi scripts. GoCharting gives you four ways to do it. Each does a different job, so pick by what you want to get done.

## Which one to use

* You want a script written or converted: use the skill.
* You want your own agent to answer Lipi questions from the manual: connect the search server, or give it the Markdown.
* You have a quick question while you read: ask the docs assistant.

The skill carries its own copy of the Lipi reference, as of its version, and needs no connection to these docs. The search server and the Markdown files always carry the current docs.

## Check what an AI writes

An AI can be wrong. A script is only valid when GoCharting's editor accepts it, so paste every script into the editor and test it before you rely on it (see [The Lipi editor](https://gocharting.com/docs/scripting/getting-started/editor.md)). Scripts written by AI may behave differently from what you described. Not financial advice.
